Centolight and Sound&More Lights Power the Electrifying EMF Recanati 2025!

EMF Recanati 2025 once again transformed Piazza Giacomo Leopardi into a stunning spectacle of light and sound, with a strong focus on innovation — also from a technical perspective.

A triumph of visual and sonic energy, made possible thanks to Centolight lighting technologies and the Sound&More team, who supported the organizers in creating an event that perfectly blended tradition and modernity. Taking center stage were the Centolight X28, Centolight LS2000, and Centolight L720R fixtures, which played a key role in shaping an impressive lighting design.

“For us, light is an artistic language a living part of the show,” says Luca Gurini, one of EMF’s founders and a member of the Sound&More association. “Thanks to the Centolight systems supplied by Frenexport, we managed to turn the architecture of the square into a truly dynamic stage. Every façade, every detail came alive under the precise and brilliant beams of these fixtures.”

Founded in 2014 by a group of young Recanati locals passionate about electronic music — with backgrounds in DJing and music production — EMF Recanati was born from an ambitious goal: bringing electronic music to the heart of a historically rich setting like Piazza Giacomo Leopardi, merging art and technology into one immersive experience.

“From the very beginning, our goal was to enhance the local area while innovating the concept of live events. Recanati stands for culture, poetry, and identity — we wanted to add light and sound to tell its story in a contemporary way,” continues Luca.

Today, the festival is one of the most original and acclaimed electronic events in the Marche region, attracting audiences from across and beyond the region. The Sound&More Association, founded by Gurini and Matteo Marconi, manages every production stage — from artistic direction to technical management, communication, logistics, institutional relations, and sponsorships.

“Each edition is a complete production,” explains Gurini. “Nothing is left to chance: sound quality, safety, audience engagement, and visual identity all receive the same level of attention.”

The goal for the 2025 edition was clear: to create an immersive and captivating atmosphere in an open and historical space like Piazza Leopardi, while ensuring excellent sound quality and even acoustic coverage. To achieve this, the organizers partnered with two outstanding companies: Frenexport and FBT Elettronica.

For lighting, with the technical support of Centolight product specialists, the setup featured 12 Centolight X28, 16 Centolight LS2000, and 8 Centolight L720R units. These fixtures allowed the team to craft a complex lighting design that enhanced every architectural perspective with dynamic effects, saturated colors, and precise movements.

“The goal was to create a ‘wow’ effect at every beat,” smiles Gurini. “The lights were not just meant to illuminate — they had to move with the music and become part of the performance itself.”

The lighting design, created by Event Consulting Group, carefully balanced creativity and precision, skillfully integrating Centolight sources with LED walls, lasers, and flame effects. Special effects, managed by EOS – Energy of Sound, completed the visual experience with laser shows, Eco2Jet, and pyrotechnics synchronized with the music. Adding visual depth to the stage was a 30 m² LED wall supplied by MC Service, an essential element in harmonizing light, visuals, and video content.

On the audio side, the FBT Myra system, composed of 16 214L loudspeakers and 8 218S subwoofers, ensured uniform coverage and a powerful yet balanced sound. Everything was finely tuned to respect the historical setting and the square’s natural acoustics.

“The sound was perfectly in sync with the visual component,” notes Gurini. “We didn’t just aim for power — we aimed for definition and a listening experience that would emotionally engage the audience.”

The response from both the audience and industry professionals was overwhelmingly positive. Many audio and lighting experts recognized the festival’s technical and scenic evolution compared to previous editions.

“The feedback made us truly proud,” concludes Gurini. “Everyone noticed the quality leap — and a fun anecdote: the stage lights were visible even from nearby towns! That’s a sign of the energy we managed to convey and the strength of the technologies we chose to work with.”
